Charge for collection of food waste
A decision regarding the new tariff for the collection of food waste was made by the Production Committee on 6 December 2023. The final decision will be made at the Municipal Council meeting on 26 February 2024.

The total fee for waste collection in Kramfors municipality consists of the basic fee, collection fee and weight fee.
This is what the law says about garbage collection
According to the Environmental Code, all households and property owners have a statutory obligation to deliver their household waste to their municipality for removal and treatment.
The law exists to protect us and the environment from, among other things, vermin, the spread of diseases and poison.
Only the municipality and a contractor hired by the municipality have a permit to transport waste. You are also not allowed to transport your household waste from your holiday home to, for example, your waste container at your permanent residence or to a recycling centre. Only bulky waste may be transported to the recycling centre.
